5/1 LINE OF STORMS LIGHT UP THE SKY ACROSS SOUTH LOUISIANA!!!

I got off of work around 12:30AM Sat. morning and noticed anvil crawlers to my south along with visible CU development. I left Lafayette, LA and drove south towards Abbeyville, LA witnessing very active CG, CC, AC activity during the entire drive. I decided to set up just south of Abbeyville where three separate updraft areas were visible. These nocturnal storms were developing along a theta-e ridge across south central/western Louisiana. These storms persisted for several hours over the same area before merging into a line from LCH to just east of LFT. Overall the storms remained below severe limits with only one warning issued, however, the lightning display was well worth the trip.
