I am currently employed as a General Forecaster by the NOAA National Weather Service Forecast Office in Pleasant Hill, MO and have been there since October of 2006. Prior to this position, I worked as an intern at the NWS WFO in San Angelo, Texas. My work interests lie heavily on local severe storms documentation, research, warning and forecast operations and outreach efforts. I intend to continue pursuing these interests as well as expanding research efforts.

I received the title of meteorologist after receiving a Bachelors of Science degree in Atmospheric Science from the University of Louisiana at Monroe in 2003. While attending school there, I was employee by the KEDM radio station as a weather broadcaster/producer. After graduation, I accepted a position as a forecaster at Alert Weather Services, a private sector company located in Lafayette, Louisiana. My responsibilities there weighed heavily on tropical and severe storm warning operations for offshore Gulf of Mexico clientele. I was also involved in both webcasts and radio broadcasts for the south central LA region.

I’ve been actively pursuing and documenting severe storms since 1999. Observing various storm phenomena for better understanding of local storm environments and processes along with aiding NWS warning operations encompass my main passions in storm chasing. Besides many severe storms events, I have had the opportunity to chase and document several land falling tropical systems. Away from the scientific aspect of the chasing experience, I thoroughly enjoy the shear beauty of the open plains and am often awe-struck by the magnificence of these storms as they roam across the open prairie land.
